We’re finally open for business! Finally.
A bit of background: Aivy and I are inseparable since uni days, and we’ve been talking about starting up a business together for yonks. It was difficult to find one common interest that we both could pursue with the same amount of passion. Only recently–after an opportunity working in the same company as part of their website and marketing support team–that we realised “Hey, we love this and we’re so awesome at it, let’s just do it!”
The next month after this Nike slogan epiphany, we both resigned from our jobs and went on a long journey of researching, gathering ideas, connecting with like-minded people, and creating cool things. I even managed to rope in my husband, Glenn Thomas, who is an awesome photographer and music video producer, to join the team. And most importantly: we’re all having fun with it!
Isn’t it what life is all about – learning and creating and having fun?
Well, so is Aidia. The name Aidia in Spanish actually has a meaning that’s in line with the core of who we are – to help. We are here to help small businesses, like yours, grow and expand your customer reach. We do this through learning and researching the market, designing beautiful and easy-to-navigate websites, and creating custom videos and images that will enhance your brand. The name Aidia is also pronounced like idea which is the basis of what we do, really. We come up with ideas for promoting your business and help you implement them too!
Well, it would have been cool if we’d articulately planned this, but the name Aidia actually came to us on the way to a local pub for a few pints. It started as a joke, because Aidia is a portmanteau of our names, but well, it sticks!
Also since Vylyd just sounds like a vacuum cleaner brand.
Anyway, we’re thrilled to be here. Please spread the word! If you know anyone who needs a website or even if you think you may need a website, please share, like and follow our pages via the Social media buttons above or just contact us. We would love to help you.
